Puppy stomach bloated after eating goat milk? What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My 5 wk old puppy got dewormer a couple of days ago and this morning she wanted to scarf down her food. She stomach looks bloated but shes not in any pain and shes resting right now. She is a rescue and right now we are using a goat milk mix formula. How do I prevent this from happening? Is there anything else I need to try instead of the goat milk that might make it easier for her stomach?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your puppy. Some puppies are so small that their stomachs visibly distended after eating. If this is the case, her stomach should look normal again some time later. Going forward, feed her smaller more frequent meals and use puppy formula as opposed to goat milk. I hope this information helps!
