My dog bit canned air. Is it toxic? What symptoms should I watch for?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 5 months old | 23 lbs

Lou bit at some canned air while I was spraying off some things, he bit at it a few times even though I tried shooing him away from it I think he bit directly in the stream of it once but I wiped his mouth out and he doesn’t seem to be acting any different. Should I be concerned

As long as he is behaving normally, there is likely no cause for concern. The propellant in the can can cause local irritation such as redness or may cause excessive drooling. You can monitor him for those signs for the next 24 hours to make sure he is in the clear.
