Puppy's ears are red after bath. Is it blood? What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 2 days old

We gave our puppy a bath and while we were drying her off we found this red in her ears. (Please look at images attached) what is it and should we be concerned?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like someone recently touched the area and now more blood is flowing there. The skin overall looks quiet from the pictures. I would continue to monitor the area and if Honey is bothering it or it isn’t getting better, take her to a vet for a closer exam. Good luck and kisses to Honey!
