My cat threw up and heart raced after fast anesthesia. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | spayed | 16 years and 4 months old

Hello I want to ask, recently my cat was put to anesthesia and she started throwing up, but then as I was holding her her heart was racing at first but then it slowed down rapidly I want to ask if it's normal, the anesthetics also kicked in really fast, they said it will take 10 minutes but it ended up taking less than two minutes.

It all depends on the type of anesthesia. Once the drugs do kick in, it tends to be fast (many medications do slow the heart rate) and some pet' may vomit in response to the medication. I recommend to ask this question to your veterinarian who knows what medications the used on Si and will be better able to answer if this was a normal response or not. I hope this helps.
