My dog has diarrhea from cheese. How do I help his upset stomach?

I was wondering what can i do to help my dogs upset stomach. He has Diarrhea and so far today he pooped about 6 times. Yesterday i gave him some cheese which the shelter i adopted him from said he loved. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 45 lbs

Cheese can certainly cause diarrhea, along with stress if he was just adopted. I would stop all extra snacks and offer him a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice to help settle his stomach, and then slowly introduce his regular food back in without any extras or treats until he is settled. If the diarrhea continues, or he shows any other signs of illness, a vet visit is best to rule out any health issues.
