My rescued kitten has a raw paw. Should I cover it or let him lick?

I have a kitten that I rescued with what appears to be a burned paw. The back paw is raw and the pad is gone. Do I cover it or let him lick it and leave it be? He’s already on amoxicillin for mouth stitches from a lip injury. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 lbs

This will be quite painful to him, and he has to see a vet to have this treated. Please cover it to protect it, and take him into a vet first thing in the morning. Best of luck.
