Is a storage bin DIY cat carrier safe for transport? What hole size?

Question

I will be transporting my 8 cats to another location 30 minutes away. I do not have enough cat carriers for my move, so I decided to make some cat carriers by drilling 14 holes, each 2 inches in diameter, through Sterilite storage bins. My question is, do the holes need to be smaller than 2 inches? I do not want any of my cats getting their heads stuck in a hole. Also, do you think this method of transport is ok for the cats? These guys are my life & I dont want any harm coming to them. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 15 lbs

For a 30 minute transport, this is should be fine. There looks there are a lot of holes, which is good. I'd be surprised if they get their heads through the holes, but you can make them smaller to be safe. This is a very clever way to transport them! I hope this helps!
