Is it safe to spay my kitten 48 hours after deworming for worms?

Hi! Is it safe for a one year old kitten to get spayed about 48 hours after having worms and getting a dewormer?

In general yes. Make sure to alert the veterinarian of her recent medication and of the worms. If the doctor has any concerns, they will likely postpone the procedure. Please feel free to post any additional questions.

    I would definitely recommend treating for worms if she has not already been done as heavy worm burdens can lead to debility and poor wound healing which is not ideal for recovery from surgery. Check with the initial treating vet as she may have been treated with a worm and flea/mite medication initially and this should not be repeated within 4 weeks
