Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years and 6 months old | 11 lbs
I am trying to worm my cat (2 Drontal pills). I have tried to pill him (I can pill my other cat no problem), but he can fit the pill out the side of his mouth between his teeth, & those pills dissolve pretty quickly, so trying over & over dissolves the pills without getting in his system. I’ve tried crushing & mixing with wet cat food; he refuses to eat it. I’ve tried pill treats like Greenies, even with a few decoy Greenies first. He eats the treat & leaves the pill behind. Please, any tips?

A device called a pill popper or a pill gun may help. You may be able to find them at a pet store and some veterinary offices will carry them as well. Otherwise your veterinarian may be able to pill your kitty for a fee. Your veterinarian also carries injectable tapeworm medication which they will administer and then you don’t have to give any oral pills. I hope this helps.
