Is a covered litter box bad for my cat's health or safe to use?

I have a cat and was wanting to know if using a litter box with a lid was bad for her. My grandma said she for some reason thinks that is what killed her cat. Pet's info: Cat | American Bobtail Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 16 days old | 5 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There is nothing wrong with using a litter box with a lid. Some cats do not like boxes with lids so that would be the only problem but if you start at a young age (like you are) there may not be any problems with using it. Kisses to Nala!
