Prince has seizures every 3 to 4 months. They last about 1-2 minutes. After 5 minutes he will get up and eat. I want to know if he should be on medication, one vet told me he should be on medication because he has more than two a year /and two other vets told me that putting him on medication may be unnecessary because they aren't as often. The seizures started when he was 4 years old and has never taken medication for it before. I don't know who to trust with his care.

This is certainly a gray area. There are certain guidelines as to when to absolutely start medications (1 seizure per month, cluster seizures or seizures lasting longer than 5 minutes). Otherwise these pets may or may not start medications. If you notice any worsening in any form, Prince should take medications. Otherwise ask your veterinarian the positive and negative effects with starting seizure medication. Some of these medications can have side effects. I hope this helps.
