My 7-month-old cat isn't eating food, only drinking water. Why?

My 7 months old cat does not eat and only drinks water. He only eats treats when I give him. This has been going on for about 3-4 days. I left him at my friends place for a week since I was going out of town but I gave him the same routine food to eat at my friends place too. That was last week. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 9 months and 26 days old | 5 lbs

Ginger needs to be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet that does not eat for 48 hours needs to be checked. It's possible she is sick or has gotten into something and it's best to play it safe. The doctor will likely want to check some bloodwork to make sure there's no evidence Ginger picked up an Advil or something else of that nature. I hope this helps.
