Is it safe for my dog to re-enter a room after pest control fumes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 2 years old | 13 lbs

*I didn’t write enough information last time* HEALTHSHARE I’m having an exterminator come in today, am I able to put my dog back into the bed room right after he finishes that one room? He will be crated and it’s in that one room not the whole house, I don’t plan to let him wander that room at all. Here’s my daughters room and the room he lives in.

I would wait at least 30 minutes after the room has been treated before letting him in the room (crated or not). The fumes can be harmful. I do not know what product your exterminator is going to be using so it is difficult to give you any further information.
