I am sorry to hear about your concern for Zuzia. If this is a new behavior I would consider an examination at her veterinarian. Excessive licking of the vulva can be a sign of a urinary tract infection or an infection of the folds of the vulva, called vulvar dermatitis. Your vet will examine the area and depending on their findings may recommend a urine test.

It is not normal for Shadylady to lick her vagina. There is obviously something bothering her. She may have a urinary tract infection, or be incontinent (licking her urine off to keep from dribbling), or she may have a vaginal infection. Please take Shadylady to your veterinarian for an exam and a urinalysis.
