My dog had a stomach ache. When can he eat again and what food?

Good evening, i have question about my dog. We left to eat around 4 yesterday and when we came back my dog was aching like he had stomache ache so i researched about dog stomaches and he had some symptoms but not all. I followed some instructions from online and now this morning he was better but i saw that i should give him food for 24 hours is this true or what do recommend me to do. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 11.4 lbs

There is not a hard and fast rule for how long a pet should be without food. Some vets say as long as 24 hours. I generally recommend 6 to 12 hours. It may help also if you feed him a bland diet for the next 24 hours. Boiled white meat chicken and plain boiled white rice. If he continues to be sick, have him examined by the veterinarian.
