My mouse has wounds under her ears and won't stop scratching. Help!

Hi I have a mouse that has two wounds under each ear and I'm not sure why. She is repeatedly scratching at the wounds making them worse. Any idea what they could be from? Pet's info: Small Animal | Mouse | Female | 4 months and 7 days old

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Gypsy! We can see mites of the skin in mice which can cause the symptoms you are describing. I would recommend bringing Gypsy in to the vet for an examination of her skin, and they can prescribe medication to treat this issue if needed.
