Is it safe to give my dog calming treats for long cargo flights?

is it advisable for dogs to take calming/relaxing treat or pill for air travel? dog is 1yr and 8 months, 37 lbs, will be in the cargo area. flight will be 10-11 hrs and then i get to see her at arrival and then we will have another flight for 1 hr. Pet's info: Dog | Samoyed | Female | spayed | 37 lbs

This can be fine, but I would test them on it first at home. You don't want them to have an adverse reaction to it, and they be in the cargo area where you can't reach them. Try it on them a couple of times first at home.
