Is my dog with a small trachea getting enough air? She's gasping.

Pet's info: Dog | Bedlington Terrier | Female | 6 years and 5 months old | 7.5 lbs

I have a small 5yr old cha-weenie who has extra small tracea and sleeps 22 hrs a day. I am wondering if she is getting enough air. Gasping sounds and rattles during sleep. No energy doesn’t even want to get up eat it go out to bathroom. Gotten worse over last year

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about E Pocket. I'm concerned about her breathing as well, and that suggest her trachea issue is getting worse. I would be worried, like you, if she is getting enough air, and the fact that she doesn't want to get up to eat or go to the bathroom tells me something is really wrong. I would take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.
