My cat isn't eating, puking green liquid, and ate a balloon string?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 10 lbs

My cat, Jorge, he is about 2 years old and he usually eats dry food but recently we have been feeding him wet food as a treat and sometimes deli turkey. Also, it was my daughters birthday and one of the ballon strings is missing, he may have eaten it. The problem is that he is not eating ANYTHING, and he has been puking green liquid. What should i do??

Take Jorge into a vet immediately. If he ate this balloon string, it could be that it's causing an obstruction leading to him not eating and vomiting. An obstruction is fatal without treatment, so he has to see a vet now. Best of luck.
