My cat has eye freckles. Is it iris melanoma or just melanosis?

Hi, we are concerned about our cat Max’s eye. Over time it has discolouration and the other eye has started with a few freckles. The vet has advised to monitor over the years, but I am concerned it is iris melanoma. Is there an easy way to detect vs. Melanosis? Thanks. Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | neutered | 8 years and 4 months old
