My cat pees on new bedding. Is this normal? How can I stop it?

I have a female cat that will pee on things I change. If I put a difference bed spred on the bed in the spare bed room but when I put the regular bed spread back on she is fine with this She just doesn’t like any change in that room is this normal if not what can I do. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

SI am sorry to hear about your concern for Sadie. Some cats are very sensitive to change and it can cause anxiety which then leads to inappropriate urination. This is possibly what is happening with Sadie. You can try a calming pheremone product called Feliway, either sprayed on the bed or in a diffuser https://www.feliway.com/us and a calming supplement like Zylkene or Composure (available online) to see if this helps her.
