Why is my cat distant with flea allergy? Can I treat it at home?

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 14 years and 4 months old | 15 lbs

My cat has a flea allergy. Is it normal for him to act distant from not feeling good? And how can I treat it with out going to the vetnerian?

Yes, it can be normal if the flea allergy is bothering him that much. you can treat him for fleas with an over the counter product such as advantage but if the allergy is severe he will need to be taken to the vet in order to get a steroid shot.
