Why is my dog making a weird noise like he's gagging or choking?

In the last probabaly 20-30 minutes my dog ( 15 year old Cocker spaniel) has been making this weird noise it almost seems like he’s gonna throw up or he ya something in his throat or nose. I’m not sure what it is. Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered | 15 years and 2 months old | 40 lbs

I would need to actually see it to understand what you mean as this could be an attempt to throw up or coughing, both can look and sound very similar. if it carries on and doesn't stop you will need to take him to your vet to get it checked.
