Why is my dog vomiting, not eating, and has high liver enzymes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 13 years and 11 months old | 33 lbs

Hi there, we recently found my dog having a seizure for about 2-3 seconds whilst out in the garden around 3 days ago in which we assumed she had choked on something so we reached into her throat to dislodge the object Howver we feel it went further into the stomach. We have had an x Ray and blood test done in which nothing abdnormal has come back. She does have slightly high liver enzymes activity however and is vomiting up water and bile and has comeoketky lost her appetite. Please help

If Susie is still vomiting, I would recommend an ultrasound. This will fully evaluate her stomach and intestinal tract. She may still have a foreign body that cannot be seen on xray. She may also have a case of pancreatitis. I recommend talking to your veterinarian about this. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
