Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 18 days old
I am getting an 8 week old boston terrier July 17th. The only thing I haven't figured out is what I am going to feed her. How should I go about making this decision? Thank you!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Daisy. Congratulations! You just be so excited to being her home. I would start by feeding her the food that her breeder is currently using. Coming to new home is stressful for a puppy. This combined with a diet cha he can cause diarrhea. Once she has had a few days to settle in, you can gradually transition her to a new diet. You will want to take at least 7 days of mixing the old and new diets. Make the transition gradual for her. I do not recommend feeding a grain free diet. They are very trendy, but there is new research that they may be linked to heart disease. You will want a puppy food from large company that is able to employ veterinary nutritionists on staff and do feeding trials for their diets on live dogs. Purina ProPlan, Royal Canin and Hills are all good choices. I hope this information helps!
