Pet's info: Cat | Feral | Male | unneutered
My friend has a kitten and it’s sick. He doesn’t have money to bring it the vet. The kitten mouth is open like breathing issues. It only wants to sleep and it look thinner. Can you help me, please? The mother cat will take him from me, put him on the floor and walk away from her baby. I want to help the kitten the best I can!

Open mouth breathing is a sign of respiratory distress in cats, and is a medical emergency. Kenway needs to see a vet now. If paying for a vet is an issue, you can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants. Best Friends also has a list of resources that offer financial assistance on their website. http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_pet.html?credit=web_id91754962 https://www.redrover.org https://www.carecredit.com http://bestfriends.org/resources/financial-aid-pets http://lessonsfromaparalyzeddog.com/when-pet-owners-cant-afford-veterinary-bills/ http://www.dogheirs.com/resources-affordable-veterinary-care/ Have your friend check out these resources, and have him take the kitten into a vet now.

This is a medical emergency and you have to get your kitten to the vet right away. I can give you a list of resources that may help you afford a vet. You are correct that your depression may get worse if you lose him, so please use these resources to help afford a vet both for him and you. You can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. God's Creatures Ministry helps pay for veterinarian bills for those who need help. The Onyx & Breezy Foundation has many programs including helping people with medical bills. They are a good resource for information. Brown Dog Foundation provides funding to families with a sick pet that would likely respond to treatment, but due to circumstances, there is not enough money immediately available to pay. IMOM is dedicated to insure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged. I really hope one of these resources helps you, please get your kitty into the vet ASAP.

Your only option now is to take Theo into a vet immediately. Three days of labor is not normal, and if she doesn't get immediate veterinary care, the kittens inside of her will die and she could die as well. You have to take her into a vet now. If paying for a vet is an issue, you can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. I'd also see if you can borrow money from family and friends. http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_pet.html?credit=web_id91754962 https://www.redrover.org https://www.carecredit.com http://bestfriends.org/resources/financial-aid-pets http://lessonsfromaparalyzeddog.com/when-pet-owners-cant-afford-veterinary-bills/ http://www.dogheirs.com/resources-affordable-veterinary-care/
