My puppy walks flat-footed after splint removal. Is it normal?

My puppy has just recently gotten out of a splint on her left rear leg for a broken toe after 3 and a half weeks. She is walking flat footed. Is this common or would it indicate something is still wrong? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 months and 28 days old | 38 lbs

This is due to the fact that muscles have not been used as much while it was on. It can take some time to rebuild some strength. However, if she is not making progress walking more normally, she needs to see her veterinarian. Most of the time, I see the normal gait return within several days. I hope this information helps!
