Why does my dog have brown stuff on nails, mouth, and genitals?

My dog has brown stuff on her nails (it comes off of I pick it off) and I’ve noticed she gets the same kind of stuff on her gential area hairs and near her mouth... what could it be? She is a cross between Lhasa apso and shihtzu. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 13 lbs

This residue can be related to excess oil secretions from irritation, allergies or a yeast infection. It can also be a combination of saliva and environmental debris.
