My dog shook head, flapped ears, and tripped. Is it an ear problem?

My dog was taking a nap and got up suddenly and started shaking his head and flapping his ears. It looked like his balance might of been off or something cause he was also kinda tripping. I scratched around his ears for a little and it seems to he better. Could this of just been a flea or something bothering one of his ears?

It could be something is bothering Eivan's ears, like an ear infection. Or his ear could have been itchy. Shaking the head can make you a little disoriented and off balance, so that would explain why he was tripping. Keep an eye on him, and if he does this again, have him seen by a vet.
