My dog ate dead bird meat. Is she at risk for botulism or sickness?

My dog might have eaten a little piece of dead bird meat from outside??? If it was the size of a pea & was out for approximately 3 weeks, is she going to get botulism??! What should I do?!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The only thing I would be concerned about would be some vomiting or diarrhea in the next 24-48 hours just because it won’t sit in her stomach well. Otherwise I wouldn’t worry. Kisses to Kalli

I would be concerned about Kalli getting sick from it. That's some pretty spoiled meat. Watch out for vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, and lethargy. If you see any of those signs, take her into a vet immediately.
