My two dogs started fighting. Should I spay or hire a dog trainer?

My 14 month old spayed Jack Russell and 6 month old welsh springer spaniel have started fighting frequently over the last week or so for no apparent reason. We still can go for walks and sleep in the same room with no issues. I’m at my wits end breaking up dog fights and am not sure if I should spay my Welshie even though my contract says not before 7 months or if I should contact a behaviour trainer first? I’ve had my Welshie for 3 months now
