Why is my bunny's eyelid popping out and bloody? Is it cherry eye?

Hi, I have a almost 2 year old bunny, and yesterday I came home to his eyelid popping out and blood around his eye. I took a warm damp cloth and cleaned his eye right away. This is the first time I have seen it. The pictures are from today, which is a big difference from yesterday but I'm still concerned. Is this cherry eye?

Thanks for reaching out about Gouldo and including photos. This could be an infectious problem, trauma, or even other. A veterinary visit is recommended as it appears painful. Remember that most veterinary clinics close early on Saturday, and this should not wait until Monday. A wet warm compress can help reduce some swelling. Monitor appetite and water consumption. Good luck.
