Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Male | 5 years old | 73 lbs

My great dane suffered from heat exhsustion today. I only found out at 7pm. Ive wet him down and his breadth is calm and I have the fan on him but he's still wobbling when he walks and doesn't want any water. I tried wetting his tongue but he wont open. No vet is open now. What can I Do to help him until the vet opens tomorrow at 8am?

There should be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. You need to get Fiya into a vet immediately, as heat stroke is fatal and causes serious internal damage. Keep him cool and rest him until you can get him into a vet.
