How dangerous are wolf spiders to dogs? What if my dog gets bitten?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 13 lbs

How concerned should I be about wolf spiders around Tiny? I found two so far and I’m so scared about them. He has not been bitten but I just want to know how bad are they for dogs and what happens if he was bitten by one.

It can cause problems for dogs. I would call an exterminator to come to your house to spray and kill the spiders. If Tiny was bit by one, it causes severe pain, swelling at the bite spot, and lethargy. It can take up to 8-10 hours to see symptoms.
