My cat vomited blood and a worm. Should I take him to the ER vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 10 lbs

I saw a roundworm tonight when my cat vomited. He is listless now with a foamy white vomit and it has turned pinkish with a few specks of blood. He also has started having diarrhea. He won’t eat or drink he is 6 months old and always extremely hyper and jumping all the time. Will he be alright throughout the night and what should I do for him.

I'm very concerned that Ninja has blood in his vomit, won't eat or drink, and has diarrhea. The blood in his vomit is a medical emergency, and you cannot leave him through the night. He needs to see an ER vet now.
