Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

If mir got a piece of rib that was resting on the edge of the pan and touched the rack of ribs that got bbq but didnt have any direct bbq sauce on that has paperika, Dried Onion and Dried Garlic any some other ingredients would she be fine? My mom gave her just a small piece but said there wasnt any actual sauce it just touched it. Or would she get sick even if she didn't actually eat any bbq sauce i didnt know til after she told me she gave her a piece... and she said it was just a pinch

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Such a small amount is unlikely to cause an issue. What it may do though is cause gastrointestinal distress which may result in vomiting, nausea and diarrhea. If any of these are observed, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, she is likely going to be ok. Best of luck!
