Is it safe to apply Revolution after Frontline Plus for cat fleas?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 15 years old | 10 lbs

My 15 year old cat had a severe flea infestation. I gave him a bath followed by Frontline Plus, but he may not have been dry enough when I applied the Frontline (about 40 hours ago). I took him to the vet who suggested bathing him then applying Revolution. Two questions: is it ok to combine these, and if it is, it the bath necessary?

Hi there I'm sorry to hear about Finn's troubles. From what I know Revolution and frontline can ve safely combined. Just be sure that if you bath Finn you wait the appropriate amount of time afterwards before applying the Revolution. I usually recommend 2 days.
