My kittens have fleas. Is Advantage safe if they lick it and get sick?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 13 days old | 1lb

So I asked a question earlier on hear my kittens have fleas extremely bad I got them 6 days ago and I knew they had fleas when I got them my vet appointment isn't until Friday night and the fleas are insane I've given them a Dawn dish detergent bath with a flea comb and we got a lot possibly a hundred and fifty off of each and then I clean my apartment with Dawn dish detergent but I'm super worried about putting advantage on my kittens and then licking it off of each other and getting sick

You can put it on them, and keep each one in a separate room for the next 24 hours until it dries. Then they won’t kick it off each other. Be sure to apply the Advantage to the very back of their heads where they can’t reach it to lick off themselves.
