My dog has whipworms. How contagious are they to my other dog?

My dog has whipworms and I wasn’t sure if she can transmit easily to my other dog who is 8

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Whipworms are very contagious to other dogs that share the same yard. Dogs ingest the eggs that are shed in the infected dogs feces. I would recommend having the other dog tested and discuss with your vet a prevention to help treat both dogs. Good luck and kisses to Oreo!
