My cat ate oxycodone. What signs of toxicity should I watch for?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I gave my cat .6 miligrams of oxycodone. He is breathing fine, eating and a little sedated. Anything else I should be looking for? Thank you.

I would take him into a vet now to be safe, oxycodone is toxic to cats. Other signs include walking drunk, vomiting, dilated pupils, severe sedation, slowed breathing, slowed heart rate, and respiratory arrest.
