My cat's head lump popped, oozing green liquid. Should I see a vet?

my cat has a lump on his head making his eye not fully open, that popped today and came out non-stop green-yellow liquid, what do i do it won’t stop even after i’ve rinsed and cleaned it with water

It sounds like Diesel has a serious infection. I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian. Antibiotics will clear this up significantly faster. He also needs to have a hair clipped short around the area and he needs to wear an Elizabethan collar at all times to protect it from scratching or for the trauma. Have him examined today.     Hello, and thanks for your question about Diesel. You can keep that area clean with mild soap (I often recommend Dawn dish soap) and water, and you can dab a little neosporin on top. However, if it continues to drain discharge and look red and seem painful to him, it may need antibiotics, which means Diesel will need to be seen by the vet. If this might be a bite or scratch from the cat, those wounds are very prone to infection. I wouldn't let it go more than a couple days if it's getting worse rather than better. Hope this helps!
