My dog's nose is blocked and she struggles to breathe. What can I do?

Good day, how do you help your dog with sinus, her noise gets blocked and she struggle to breath, what can I do to help her and what can be given? Dalene

I am sorry to hear about Muis. She needs to have an exam at her vet to determine what is causing the blockage. There can be a variety of causes ranging from infections with bacteria or fungus, an infection of a tooth root causing swelling or abscess into nasal passages, a nasal polyp, or a tumor. These would all be treated differently. In the meantime you can try steam treatments placing her in the bathroom while you run a steamy shower for 10-15 minutes, which may help if this is congestion due to mucus buildup.
