My dog has dry skin. Can olive oil help, or should I use supplements?

What causes dogs to get dry skin? & is it okay to put a tsp of olive oil over your dogs food for the vitamin and acod boost to help with shedding and dry skin?

Dogs can develop dry skin for many reasons including poor diet, endocrine disease or just have naturally dry skin. A better option is to use an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs. You can also switch his diet to a brand that is good for coat health such as Royal Canin or Nutro. I hope this helps.
