Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 3 days old | 6.52 lbs
My cat is having a bump in his thigh where he received an injection from a vet a few days ago since he was ill. It feels like a bloodstream underneath and whenever i touch that area, the cat tends to run away. There is also a small rush in that area too which my cat would often lick. I'm planning to go the same vet again tomorrow but can i assume it happened because the doctor didn't give a proper injection? Is it a serious health issue because i'm worried. Thanks a lot.

Hello, sorry to hear about Toe. Occasionally with injections, they may develop inflammation and pain in the area for up to 3-5 days. If the swelling does not resolve then he should be seen by his veterinarian to ensure Toe is not having a reaction to the vaccine that would warrant further medical intervention. You can place an ice pack at the area of the injection site 3-4 times daily for 5 minutes at a time to help decrease the swelling and pain. Hope this helps and best of luck.
