My cat ate a thread, now it's coming out. Is this an emergency?

Hi, my cat name is Lucy and earlier I discovered that she pooped on the floor. She is used to poop on the litter box but later I discovered that there is a thread coming out from her anus. I know she likes to eat her toys (esp threads) is this okay and normal for her to extract it this way? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 13 days old

Poor Lucy. It sounds like she is trying to get the thread out, but it may be stuck. Apply very gentle pressure to see if you can remove the rest of the thread, but if you can't, have her seen by a vet to get it removed.
