Is Easotic safe for my cat's ear infection? Label says dogs only.

Is Easotic suitable for cats? The vet prescribed it to treat my cat's otitis, but the label says it should only be used on dogs, which got me a little confused. Did the vet made a mistake or is this drug used safely in cats extra-label? Thank you! Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years old | 13 lbs

EasOtic is often prescribed for extra-label (https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.petcoach.co/amp/article/veterinarians-allowed-to-prescribe-extra-label-drugs) use in cats. It is commonly used to treat both bacterial and yeast ear infections. If you have concerns, I would give your vet a call just to confirm the dosage, but I have commonly prescribed this medication for my cat patients. I hope that Ruffy is feeling better soon!
