My dog was hit by a car and has bleeding facial injuries. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 18 lbs

My dog may have been run over by a car. We heard yelping noises, so I immediately ran out of the car. She has already ran over to my house. And seemed fine. We thought that her leash was run over not her. After further inspection her left side of her face had some injuries; a scrape (bleeding) where there is no hair anymore, lips busted (bleeding), ear scraped (bleeding), and eye; her third eyelid BRIGHT red (she blinks constantly) I’m very concerned for her! Do you think she was run over??

Yes, Beauty could have been run over. It sounds like she has some pretty serious injuries to her face. She needs to see a vet immediately, this cannot be treated at home. Please take her into a vet now.
