My dog bit me, now has a fever. Is it rabies if vaccine was delayed?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 8 months old

My dog was groomed last Thursday bald haircut due to some scars. He has some scar in his body too. then Thursday night he bit me just a little. The scar didn't bleed. Then I went to the hospital and got vaccinated.now my dog always sleep, he also has a slight fever. But he eat his foods Everytime I give him. Is there possible that he has rabies? His anti rabies was delayed for a month this year.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The chance of rabies based on what you have described is quite low. However, a fever could be a sign of many things like infections, inflammation among other possibilities. If he continues to feel unwell, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check what may be going on so that therapy can be started accordingly. Best of luck!
