My kitten has lavender on fur. Is it harmful? How to remove it?

I accidentally put some lavender scent sleep balm to my kitten he's 2 months I didn't know that lavender can be harmful to them I wash him with warm water but the scent still lingers to his skin and he keeps grooming that part what can I do?

You need to wash him with something like dishwashing liquid to remove the oil. Just using water is not helpful to remove the product. If he starts showing any signs of illness you need to get him to a vet immediately.
