My dog is hyper after Trazodone for anxiety. Is this a side effect?

I have my dogs 1/2 of a trazadone pill (vets orders) to keep them calm during the fireworks, but my dog is bouncing off of the walls. He’s never like that. Just like running in circles, jumping, etc. He’s the calmest dog I know. Am I missing something? Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 6 months and 23 days old | 28 lbs

Hyperactivity can be a side effect of Trazodone. Here is an information sheet about this drug and list of the side effects. Unfortunately your dog may be one of the ones that does not react as expected to this drug. You will need to speak to your vet about possibly trying something different.
